IN BEVERAGES
(use up to 2.25 teaspoons Nectavé per 1 tablespoon sugar)
Nectavé is light and dissolves completely in hot or cold liquids. It's the perfect complement to hot coffee, kombucha, sports beverages, hot tea, cappuccino, lemonade, iced tea, smoothies, shakes, cocktails and frozen drinks.
IN EVERYDAY COOKING
(use up to 2.25 teaspoons Nectavé per 1 tablespoon sugar)
Nectavé’s blue agave nectar is easy to pour and blends perfectly with cooked and raw foods. Drizzle over pancakes, waffles, oatmeal, yogurt and fresh fruits. Make delicious sauces, salad dressings and toppings. Add to spicy and savory dishes for a perfect contrast.
IN BAKING
(use up to 3/4 cup Nectavé per 1 cup of SUGAR)
You can substitute Nectavé for sugar and honey in almost all recipes. Nectavé adds sweetness, solubility and moisture to baked goods— perfect for soft cakes, breads and cookies.
While Nectavé is not recommended for achieving crispiness or making hard candies, it does result in fluffier desserts that stay moist and fresh longer.
Tips for Baking with Nectavé’s Blue Agave Nectar
- Use ¾ cups of Nectavé per 1 cup of sugar
- Because Nectavé is considered a wet ingredient, reduce other liquids in a recipe by 30% or add an extra ¼ cup of flour
- Nectavé burns more easily than sugar, so decrease oven temperature by 25% to prevent over-browning
- Bake 5-10 minutes less
